About Me And My Poems..
Poetry has always been a form of catharsis for me. I have been writing poems since I was 8 years old and several of them have been published in newspapers and magazines over the years.
Poetry served as an emotional outlet for all my thoughts, allowing me to introspect, reflect and learn from my experiences. I have written almost 120 poems and decided to publish some of them as a book to share my passion with others. I hope that my poems help my readers feel valued and understood, just as the poems from my favourite poets have made me feel in the past.
While I was initially nervous about publishing my poems as they are almost a substitute for my personal diary, the greater purpose to uplift others and share the wisdom I have gained outshone that hesitation. I thus named my book “A teenager’s soul through ebb and flow”.
About My book- A teenage soul through ebb and flow
The book revolves around a range of topics – it generalises lessons and experiences, conveys fictional worlds, and aims to uplift and motivate people. It is my attempt to tie together the thoughts and emotions of a teenager to allow others to find comfort, solace and maybe even unforgettable conclusions in my words. I hope my book allows readers to embark on a journey of self-actualisation.
It is about experiencing upheaval & changes, and yet finding contentment in the smallest joys of life like dancing in the rain or feeling good while snuggling in a blanket with a cup of coffee on a winter evening. It is about deriving courage from self-belief to face your fears and yet staying grounded and knowing where to stop. It is about recalling memories while going through old albums and also about gratitude and living in the moment. It is about working hard and persevering when you are at your low, and working just as hard even at your highs. It is about embracing change and becoming a better version of yourself every day.
It is about a million other things, with the same purpose- mutual upliftment, self-love and perseverance through all your ebbs and flows.
